Like many writers today, I consider AI to be a tool, similar to a dictionary or grammar checker. In the creation process, I may use AI as my assistant in the following ways:
• Market and prospect research: AI can be helpful to analyze your target audience’s online behavior, preferences, and pain points, making sure your content resonates and drives engagement and results.
• Brainstorming: I sometimes prompt AI to generate creative ideas in addition to my own to attract more readers, including headline approaches, blog post topics, packaging, and more.
• Outlines: I use AI to suggest clear, helpful outline and copy structure ideas for the blog posts, web pages, and other projects I’m writing for you.
• Rough drafts: I may prompt AI to provide a rough first draft for inspiration, then I’ll edit and revise any draft elements that I like, infusing stories and other human elements.
• Editing/Proofreading: I enlist AI tools as my proofreader, spellchecker, and readability checker, to simplify language, use an active voice, and pack more of a punch.
• Summaries: To ensure my writing is targeted to your audience, I'll use AI tools to sum up the main takeaways from an article, web page, or video.
• Role-playing: I occasionally give AI tools a series of specific, relevant prompts so that they can play the role of your ideal client and give perspective from that point of view.
IMPORTANT: I cite/confirm all sources of data, quotes, and other facts I use in your copy. I will never share proprietary or confidential information with AI tools without first obtaining your approval.
